The Peters-Owusu Foundation was established on the shared belief that education can transform lives and communities. Felix O. Owusu and Jevonne E. Peters (Jevi) came together with a single mission: to remove barriers so that every student has the chance to thrive.
Felix, from Ghana, began his journey as a primary school teacher before becoming deeply involved in activism for student, teacher, and education rights. His work on the ground showed him firsthand how a lack of resources limits potential, and how advocacy and support can change futures. His motivation for this foundation stems from his own experience of earning a government scholarship to complete his secondary school education.
Jevi, from St Lucia, has dedicated many years to academia and student rights initiatives, appeals committees, and unions within universities. Her work identified how financial struggles, access gaps, and inequities continue to hinder students' progress. Like Felix, she has been a recipient of funding, and this has likewise motivated her to pay it forward.
Together, they combined their passion and expertise to create a foundation that provides practical support by funding grants, equipping students with backpacks and supplies, and championing access to quality learning.
Their stories are about actions born from experience, and shared beliefs in education as a force for opportunity, equity, and hope.
Financial assistance and scholarships give every learner the chance to pursue education without limits.
We equip students with the supplies they need to thrive in the classroom.
Our online training opens access to high-quality courses and skill-building opportunities for students and teachers alike.
Keeping your community clean and green, one pickup at a time for a healthier tomorrow for a clean earth & clear future.
